In the world where we live, germs abound all around us.  They can be found in the air that we breathe in, on plants, animals and food that we eat, in the water, in the soil, in fact in almost all surfaces and even within our own body. Infection occurs when harmful germs enter our body and starts multiplying.  Our immune system then springs into action and start fighting showing reactions in our body through fever, sneezing, coughing, mucous, swellings, nausea, pain, cramps, skin breakouts, etc.

 

Home remedies making use of common household substances, foods or easily available products can be used effectively to treat infection.  Since these home remedies for infection uses natural culinary herbs and spices which are easily found in your kitchen, they are safer and produce few side effects as compared to chemical antibiotics.

 

Cinnamon

 

It is said that the mixture of cinnamon and honey can cure many diseases.

 

For treatment of bladder infections

  1. Place 2 tablespoons of cinnamon powder into a cup of lukewarm water, add a teaspoon of honey, mix well then drink it.  This mixture will help in destroying the germs within the bladder.

  1. Mix cinnamon powder and honey in equal parts.

  1. Mix a teaspoon each of honey and ginger extract.
