Kiwi Energy Drink


Kiwi fruit contains vitamins C and E which are both powerful antioxidants, capable of protecting cells from damage by free radicals.  The benefit is minimizing the chances of getting atherosclerosis (cholesterol plagues in heart arteries), asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and cancer.


The high potassium content in bananas and bean pea helps in protection against atherosclerosis and prevention of high blood pressure.


Alfalfa contains saponins that is capable of blocking the absorption of cholesterol and preventing atherosclerotic plagues formation.


Cashew nuts is rich in monounsaturated fats which can help to lower LDL cholesterol which is the 'bad' cholesterol causing atherosclerosis.


6 cashew nuts

2 kiwi fruit, peeled and cut into pieces

banana, peeled and cut into pieces

75 grams alfalfa

75 grams bean pea

1 cup cold water


Soak cashew nuts in warm water for about 20 minutes or until softens.  Drain well.  Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until well combined.  Serve


Note: The amounts of both alfalfa and bean pea can be adjusted to suit your taste.  Alfalfa is not suitable for those suffering from Lupus erythematosus.
