Juicing Recipes for Cholesterol

Orange,  Apricot, Ginger and Oat Bran Smoothie


Both apricots and oat bran are high in fiber which greatly helps to reduce cholesterol through the absorption of excess in the gastrointestinal tract. 


1 large orange

5 to 6 dried apricots, chopped

1 teaspoon finely grated fresh ginger

2 teaspoons oat bran

1/4 cup water


Squeeze the juice out of the orange into a cup.  Place apricots and water into a saucepan and bring to boil.  Reduce heat, cover saucepan and let it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.  Remove from heat, let it cool down, then place cooked ingredients and the rest of the ingredients in a blender.  Blend till very smooth.
