Juicing Recipes for Fever

Lemon, Orange and Yarrow Juice

 

Both lemon and orange are rich in vitamin C which can help in boosting our body's immune system.  The herb yarrow is effective in inducing perspiration thus helping to break a fever.  Consume plenty of liquids which includes both warm clear broths or soups and diluted fruits and vegetables juices when you have fever.

 

2 tbsps fresh lemon juice

1 orange

2 tsps dried yarrow

1/2 cup boiling water

 

Place the yarrow in a cup of boiling water, cover and let it steep for about 10-15 minutes.  Strain the liquid out and let it stand aside until cool.  Extract the orange juice out using a citrus press.  Mix together the yarrow tea, orange juice and lemon juice, stir well and drink immediately.
