Peach, Honey and Chamomile Tea Soother


Milk contains tryptophan that can help to stimulate the release of serotonin which is a hormone that promotes relaxation.  Honey is a helpful mild sedative while the chamomile herbs encourages calming and restful sleep.  The addition of peaches is to provide some sweetness as well as beta-carotene.


1 chamomile tea bag

cup boiling water

140 grams canned peaches in natural juice, drained

1 teaspoon honey

125 ml low-fat milk, warmed


Place the chamomile tea bag in a cup, add in boiling water, cover the cup and let it steep for about 10-15 minutes.  Remove the tea bag from the cup and pour the chamomile tea into a blender.  Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth.  Stir well before drinking.
