Peppermint and Mango Drink

 

Mango is high is soluble fiber while peppermint tea soothes the digestive system.  Both of these helps greatly to reduce the symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome.  Adding acidophilus powder further improves bowel flora by helping to increase the good bacteria and to reduce the disruptive and unfriendly bacteria.

 

1 peppermint tea bag

cup boiling water

1 large fresh mango, peeled, cut from the pit and chopped or 185 grams frozen mango flesh

1 teaspoon acidophilus powder

 

Place the peppermint tea bag in a cup and add in boiling water.  Cover and let it steep for about 10 minutes.  Remove the tea bag and set aside the tea to let it cool.  Place the tea together with the rest of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.  Remove and drink immediately.
