Juicing Recipes for Tonsillitis

Beet, Carrot and Cucumber Juice

 

Vegetable juices are great for treating tonsillitis.  The vegetable juices recommended are a combination of

100ml of beet juice, 300ml of carrot juice and 100ml of cucumber juice.

 

Pineapple,  Carrot, Guava and Sage Drink

 

Guava is high in vitamin C which is able to help make our immune system stronger.  Carrot with its beta-carotene properties is a great antioxidant.  Both pineapple and sage are great soothers for sore throats from tonsillitis.

 

1/2 small pineapple

2 carrots

2 guavas

10 dried sage leaves or 20 fresh sage leaves

 

Chop fresh sage leaves or if using dried sage leaves, crumble them first before adding them into a cup of boiling water.  Cover and let it steep for 15 to 20 minutes.  Strain the sage tea out and let it stand until cool.  Process pineapple, carrot and guava through a juice extractor.  Pour the sage tea into the fruit and vegetable juice, stir well before drinking.
