Berries, Oat Bran and Ginger Smoothie


The flavonoids in berries are very effective in helping to strengthen the blood vessel walls.  The fibrin in ginger greatly helps the body in resisting varicose veins.  Oat bran is added for prevention of constipation which is one of the factor contributing to varicosities


125 grams fresh or thawed frozen raspberries

125 grams fresh or thawed frozen blueberries

2 teaspoons oat bran

1 teaspoon finely grated fresh ginger

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend till smooth.  Add in a little water or apple juice if the consistency is too thick. Stir well before drinking.
